Gearbox Studio Quebec looking for local talent in video games industry

Gearbox Studio Quebec has started working towards filling up as many as 16 positions for game developers, artists and designers from the local talent pool in the video games industry.

Per information available on its website, Gearbox Studio Quebec is looking to recruit local talent for a range of positions including Senior Producer, Technical Art Director, Narrative Director, Lead Artist, Technical Animator, Senior Concept Artist, Senior Level Artist, Senior Programmer, Lead Game Designer, Technical Director, UX Director, Lead Animator, Lead IT Specialist, Senior Character Artist, Senior Level Designer and Senior Environment Artist.

Pierre-Andre Dery will be Co-Studio Head and Studio Creative Director. Previously Art Director at Activision, where he worked on Skylanders and The Amazing Spider-Man, he has also worked on the visual development of more than 30 console titles at Volta, notably contributing to Farcry, Deus Ex and World of Warcraft.

Gearbox Software initiated the recruitment drive for its new studio, which the video games developer opened just recently. According to the video games developer, it is looking for talent in the world of video game development outside of Texas that will enable it to build fun and exciting video games as a step towards its mission of entertaining the world.

Gearbox Software said that ever since its inception, it has been headquartered in Texas and partnered with companies around the globe. The formation of Gearbox Studio Quebec is a testament to the confidence in the partnership that it has forged over the years.
